Photography is the result of combining several different technical discoveries. The coining of the word "photography" is usually attributed to Sir John Herschel in 1839. It is based on the Greek 'phos',meaning "light", and 'graphe', meaning "drawing, writing", together meaning "drawing with light".
David Clendenning travels to the districts and sites which represent the rich history and culture unique to the country he visits. David captures the traditional beauty and elegance of these regions which are embodied in his his rich collection of scenic, historic, and architectural landmark images.
David is guided by a desire to capture the aesthetics, character and history of the landmarks he photographs revealing stunning sights that lie beyond the normal view.
Many of his built-heritage and craftsmanship images so transcend time that they cease to be documentary and become art.
Images featured in the Architecture, Landscape and Gardens & Botanicals sections are just a few available in his CanadaGlobal collection.
